Stuart is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, a Member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT) and is a Masters Certified Addiction Professional.
Stuart connects with clients by listening and exploring each person’s unique situation completely free from judgment. Stuart’s approach is eclectic. He treats each client as the unique individual who they are. Stuart utilizes different therapeutic techniques with clients until he finds what works because each individual will respond differently to different techniques.
Throughout his career, Stuart has provided counseling to those struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, self-mutilation, ADHD, relationship difficulties, life transitions and family changes including divorce and death. All of these issues greatly affect a person’s ability to thrive. Stuart helps his clients work through these challenges and make positive changes. He specializes in working with substance abuse clients at the inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and outpatient levels of care.
Stuart strives to bring forth his clients’ strengths, increase their self-awareness and empower them to better make decisions that will positively shape their lives. He explores helpful ways of relating to challenges and offers constructive ways of dealing with them. Stuart discusses possibilities for preferred ways of living with his clients to promote their continued success as they transition from struggling with addiction to striving in recovery.
